As Warwick locals, my husband Gordon and I are so appreciative of the stunning surroundings & bounty that this valley offers, so we decided to try our hand at sharing more of this valley’s natural loveliness with others. We wanted to provide our friends and neighbors a chance to reconnect with the pace of nature by treasuring its natural beauty.

A wild-sewn dream that bloomed into a reality…

Raising honeybees was a step in that direction. Honeybees are pollinators and vital to the life and health of the environment. They support the growth of local flora for miles around.

We wanted to support their fascinating function and learn more about their purpose in the process. So we took up beekeeping!

Plus, reaping the sweet rewards of our hard-working honey bees became an extra added bonus. It also became a special way we could gift a little piece of home to neighbors and friends who came to visit Warwick.

Our curiosity led us to learn about the flower industry— including some shocking facts about common grocery store flowers. For instance, mass-produced cut flowers are bred for the way they look— but did you know that fragrance can be bred out of them? (Who would even want that?!)

Well, we were inspired to provide our community with something better right from its own soil. We wanted to offer what nature intended: beautiful flowers, untouched and blooming at their best.

Our mission to reconnect our community with nature’s purest treasures moved us to look into the CSA movement, or the “community-supported agriculture” movement.

What is Community Supported Agriculture?

CSA: a Community Movement…

CSA consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes the community's farm. The growers and consumers provide mutual support, sharing both the risks and benefits that come with growing certain produce or goods.

This means that when you purchase a CSA subscription, we plant the bulbs and care for your flowers until harvest time. Then you benefit from the bounty in the form of one-of-a-kind artisanal bouquets.

It’s a mutually beneficial relationship: You help support a small, organic flower farm. We use sustainable practices to grow and nurture your flowers. Together, we support the healthy growth of local flora and fauna native to Warwick, including the honeybees.

A Movement that Benefits you…

Flowers have a powerful impact on our minds and moods, according to researchers.

The American Society for Horticulture Science completed a study of 90 patients recovering from surgery. They found patients in rooms with flowers felt calmer and needed lower doses of pain meds compared to patients in rooms without flowers.

Being in the presence of flowers reduces anxiety, raises your compassion levels and even boosts creativity.

A study from Harvard University Medical School, led by psychologist Dr. Nancy Etcoff, found that having fresh-cut flowers in the home had a positive effect, with respondents also reporting they felt less worried or anxious than usual.

Another study done by Texas A&M University found at the end of an experiment where students were in a work environment furnished with fresh flowers, the men in the study generated 15% more ideas and women concocted more creative and flexible solutions to problems.
